Wim Wenders receives Praemium Imperiale in Tokyo/Japan
During the 33rd Praemium Imperiale ceremony in Tokyo on October 19th, 2022, Wim Wenders receives the global arts prize, also known as „Nobel Prize for the arts“, for his work in the category theater/film.
Other recipients are Ai Wei Wei, Giulio Paolini, Krystian Zimerman, and SANAA.
The prize comitee’s decision for Wim Wenders was justified by the fact, that he is one of the most important representatives of modern cinema today.
