Wim Wenders as guest curator for the Henri Cartier-Bresson exhibition
The Henri Cartier-Bresson exhibition Le Grand Jeu (The Great Game) submits the Master Collection to the eyes of five guest curators, who share a strong link to photography: Director Wim Wenders, collector François Pinault, photographer Annie Leibovitz, writer Javier Cercas, and Sylvie Aubenas, director of the Prints and Photography Department of the BnF.
No monograph, no theme, geographical area or chronology in this hanging, but the confrontation of five points of view on the work of „the eye of the century“, revealed throughout a unique architectural stroll.
The exhibition takes place at the Bibliothèque nationale de France from May 19 – August 22.
On the occasion of the exhibition Le Grand Jeu (The Great Game), curated by Wim Wenders, Annie Leibovitz, Sylvie Aubenas, Francois Pinault, Javier Cercas, some of the guest curators will talk about Henri Cartier Bresson, his work and the exhibition.
25. Mai 2021, 6.30 p.m. – 8.p.m.
Because of the Covid Situation, this Round Table will be broadcasted via You Tube.
