The Logic of Images
Faber & Faber, London 1991
In The Logic of Images Wim Wenders explores his development as a filmmaker from the moment he picked up a movie camera at the age of twelve, through a career which includes such films as Alice in the Cities, The American Friend, Paris, Texas, Wings of Desire and Until the End of the World. In these essays Wenders discusses his films one by one, articulating the creative process which has formed each work. Underlying each of these vivid and searching pieces is the single question: why do I make films?
