“The Sky Over Budapest – Focus on Wim Wenders”

Budapest Classics Film Marathon, Budapest

Wim Wenders will be guest of honor at this year’s Budapest Classics Film Marathon. In the section “The Sky Over Budapest – Focus on Wim Wenders,” at the 7th Budapest Classics Film Marathon, twelve films from Wim Wenders’ expansive oeuvre will shine on Budapest’s cinema screens.

Budapest audiences can look forward to a rich and multifaceted program, which includes the world premiere of the recently restored version of The End of Violence (1997) as well as to a special viewing and listening experience of A Trick of the Light (1995). The film, which plays homage to the genre of silent film will be accompanied by a live musical performance by the film’s composer Laurent Petitgand.

As part of the wider Budapest Classics program, two members of the Wim Wenders Foundation, Claire Brunel (Co-Managing Director) and Marion Döring (Member of the Board) will present the work of the Wim Wenders Foundation at the Budapest Classics Lab.
