Light and Flavor of Japan – A Photographic Journey by Donata and Wim Wenders

Deutsch-Japanisches Zentrum, Berlin

From now on, just in time for the start of Berlin Art Week, visitors can view impressive photographs and digital exhibits by Donata & Wim Wenders at the JDZB, created between 2000 and 2022 during the artist couple’s stays in Japan.

Donata Wenders, born in Berlin in 1965, has been working as an artistic photographer for over 30 years.

Wim Wenders  is especially highly regarded in Japan. In 2022, the Japan Art Association awarded him the „Praemium Imperiale“—an esteemed prize for artistic achievements, initiated by the imperial family and often referred to as the „Nobel Prize of the Arts.“

The exhibition is open until December 20, 2024. Admission is free, but donations for youth development are encouraged.
