A WIM WENDERS CINEMA HIGHLIGHTS FESTIVAL, China Academy of Art in Hangzhou
Wim Wenders‘ last trip of the year took him to Hangzhou, China, for the opening of the joint exhibition at the Zhejiang Art Museum FACES & PLACES – Painted and Photographed Works by Wim Wenders and Robert Bosisio, coinciding with the film retrospective A WIM WENDERS CINEMA HIGHLIGHTS FESTIVAL (5-9 December), which attracted great interest from the audience. The films shown were PINA, WINGS OF DESIRE, FARAWAY, SO CLOSE!, LISBON STORY, PARIS,TEXAS, ALICE IN THE CITIES, BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB, and THE STATE OF THINGS. Wim Wenders also joined a public conversation with film directors Jia Zhang-ke and Li Ruijun about THE ACT OF SEEING, held at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, and moderated by Robin Mallick, Director of the Goethe-Institut China in Beijing.
