The
man who plays Skip James
Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Keith plays the role of Skip James in
'Devil Got My Woman' - Wim Wenders' contribution to The Blues and
performs a collection of Skip's songs; some on piano, most on acoustic
guitar.

Keith played the role of Son House in 1998
in "Stop Breakin' Down", a film produced and directed
by Glenn Marzano. The film was sent to Wim Wenders through Belinda
Clasen (producer of the Blues Project). He flew from France - where
he spends a great deal of time working - to Germany, and auditioned
for Wim in November of 2001. He got the part.
Keith is a singer/songwriter and one of his
specialties is traditional blues; He has made two recordings ('Walking
on Muddy Waters'1997 and 'Got To Keep Movin'2001) and participated
in the compilation, "Hellhound On My Trail - Songs of Robert
Johnson". (Telarc), which was nominated for the 2002 Grammy
Award for Best Traditional Blues Album. His contribution to this
album was Robert Johnson's 'Walkin Blues'.
