Wolfgang Niedecken (born 1951 in Cologne) encounters Wim Wenders (born 1945 in Düsseldorf) at an art gallery in Düsseldorf. Simply by chance. They have been aquainted for years, but haven't seen each other in quite a while. The possibilty of working together on a rock clip for a new BAP song gets discussed. But shortly thereafter, Wenders, having listened not just to the single but the whole new album of the band, suggests to Niedecken making "something substantial" rather. Namely a movie about the band, a sort of road movie or "folk film", which should revolve around Niedecken's lyrics written in his native "Kölsch" dialect (an accent spoken only in Cologne, the largest town in Germany's west). A concert of the band in Essen at the movie theatre Lichtburg serves as a starting point.

Wenders and Niedecken: The internationally acclaimed fillmmaker and the successful rock musician have come together to make a rock'n'roll movie that defies all conventions. A gripping collage of current concert footage and rare archive photographs, enriched with Niedecken's unique lyrics and comments, as well as guest appearances by Wolf Biermann, Marie Bäumer, Joachim Król and the rock band Anger 77, creates the fascinating portrait of a band, that, even after two decades of "Kölsch Rock" in Germany, is still on top. VIEL PASSIERT is a very special kind of music film, that will leave not only the fans of BAP with a sense of complete enthusiasm.

Wolfgang Niedecken (geboren 1951 in Köln) trifft Wim Wenders (geboren 1945 in Düsseldorf) in einer Düsseldorfer Kunstgalerie. Zufällig. Die beiden kennen sich seit Jahren, haben sich aber lange nicht mehr gesehen. Man diskutiert die Möglichkeit, gemeinsam ein Rock-Video von einem neuen BAP-Song zu machen. Aber bald darauf, nachdem Wenders nicht nur die Single, sondern das ganze neue Album gehört hat, schlägt er Niedecken vor, lieber "Was Richtiges" zu machen, nämlich einen Film über die Band, eine Art Roadmovie oder "Heimatfilm", in dessen Mittelpunkt Niedeckens in Kölsch verfasste Texte stehen sollen. Ausgangspunkt ist ein Konzert der Gruppe in dem Essener Kino Lichtburg.

Wenders und Niedecken: Der international renommierte Filmemacher und der erfolgreiche Rockmusiker haben sich zusammengefunden, um einen Rock'n'Roll-Film zu drehen, der sich allen Konventionen entzieht. Mit einer packenden Kollage aus aktuellen Konzertaufnahmen und seltenen Archivbildern, angereichert mit Niedeckens einzigartigen Texten und Kommentaren sowie Gastauftritten von Wolf Biermann, Marie Bäumer, Joachim Król und der Rockband Anger 77, entsteht ein faszinierendes Porträt einer Band, die auch nach zwei Jahrzehnten "Kölsch Rock" in Deutschland immer noch an der Spitze steht.
