SPALDING GRAY TO MODERATE SUCH LUMINARIES AS SUSAN SARANDON, LARRY FINK, DIANE VON FURSTENBERG, ROSS BLECKNER, MOBY, & WIM WENDERS AT "THE CULTURE FORUM" A SYMPOSIUM COMPRISED OF LEADING VISIONARIES IN THE ARTS HOSTED BY CONTENTS MAGAZINE

NEW YORK-Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon, legendary hotographer Larry Fink, fashion icon Diane Von Furstenberg, contemporary artist Ross Bleckner, music impresario Moby, and cutting-edge director Wim Wenders will join the all-star panel discussion about the future of culture in America. Moderated by Spalding Gray, the symposium will incorporate some of the most influential opinion leaders from every creative field; fashion, film, art, music, photography, and literature. Hosted by Contents Magazine, The Culture Forum will take place on Tuesday, November 6, 2001 at 7:00PM-8:30PM at The Great Hall @ Cooper Union in New York City, followed by a 30-minute Q&A with the audience.

The forum will address the youth of America, the next generation of creators. Attendance will include 900 students from NYU, The New School, Columbia, School of Visual Arts, FIT, Pratt, and Cooper Union.

"In the wake of the attacks on America, the world has changed forever," Contents magazine publisher Joseph Alfieris explains. "Political and economical shifts are being addressed daily. We, at Contents believe that the change in culture of America and its perception must be addressed," he adds.

Some of the issues to be addressed include: The changing perception of culture and style in light of the tragedy. What is now appropriate content for the arts? How is the business of "taste-making" changing? Is it changing? How has the reevaluation of these questions affected the broader cultural world?

"We believe some of the most important topics and ideas concerning the creative arts will occur here and provide an extraordinary opportunity and forum for young artists, writers, designers, and filmmakers to gain perspective from their mentors," Alfieris adds.

Award-winning Contents Magazine is devoted to the brightest stars of visual culture: those image-makers who influence and shape not only what we see, but how we see. Recently partnered with Hart / Sharp Entertainment, known as mavericks in the independent film world, and financier Marc Goldman, Contents is now an authority for what is best in visual culture.
